We are back & bigger than ever!
Our annual community event is back with a whopping one million sunflowers, fine food, and a touch of photography. Taking place in April 2024, these golden beauties will bloom once again and be a picture-perfect canvas for our huge program of fun-filled events. Wander through the sunflower fields, Yoga is back in 2024 as well as Sound Healing Meditation, dare to take on our maze, get crafty in our art classes, take things to a new level and experience the festival from above in a helicopter ride. Plus there are plenty of photo opportunities among the flowers (of course), with extra props on site for added fun. A revamped market area with some new and interesting stalls for you to buy that perfect sunflower gift.
We can’t give away all our secrets just yet but we will have some exciting news in the coming months regarding our special events in the big white marquee.
But it’s not just adult-focused entertainment on the cards, with free kids entertainment to be hosted each day of the festival.
Think face painting, bubbles, colouring in, painting, and craft and even a sandpit and new in 2024 will be a special sensory garden and children’s fairy garden to delight the little sunflowers in your life.

General Admission
Adults $32 includes a donation to the Mater Foundation Cancer Care Centre and if buying online through our ticket company Ticketebo you will go in the draw to win a $4000 lab diamond from The Moissanite Company at New Farm.
Teens – 13-17 years old $15; Children 12 and under are free. Companion Cards are free with a paying visitor

Opening Day Sunflower Lunch Friday 19th
Celebrate the beauty of sunflowers at Kalbar Sunflower Festival 2024. Be enamoured by the beautiful fields of sunflowers while being entertained by local award-winning artist, Laura Frank. We have pulled out all the stops to have Australian Chef of the Year, Richard Ousby take you on a culinary journey using local produce from our Scenic Rim.

Yoga and Sound Healing - $44 for 1.5 hours of relaxation in the sunflowers. Lou from Kalbar Yoga and Meditation and Kylie from Uniquely You Holistic Health & Beauty
Devonshire Tea – this is a fundraiser for the Mater Foundation, enjoy a large sunflower scone with jam and cream and a cup of tea or coffee at the Big white marquee in the market field. Can be pre-booked or if space allows drop in on the day. $10pp
Mini Photoshoots
Create memories, frolic in the sunflowers, book a professional mini photo shoot!
We have a team of amazing professional photographers who will be on hand to capture your special sunflower memories. Cost $99 for 10 minute session and 5 digital images.
Art Classes
Janelle from ARTrageous will be holding a one hour art class where you will learn simple line work and stippling. You will take home an impasto painting on a 20x25cm canvas. Cost $55
Classes each day:- 9am-10am; 11am-12pm; 1.00pm – 2pm ; 3.00 – 4pm
The team from Grounded Village Jimboomba are bringing their amazing art classes to the Sunflower Festival. Liz will teach a 1.5 hour acrylic class and you will take home your very own 30x40cm Sunflower Masterpiece. All materials supplied just bring your enthusiasm and love of sunflowers and you will be guided through the process. – Cost $66
Classes are each day:- 8.30-10am; 10.30 – 12.00pm; 1.00-2.30pm; 3.00-4.30pm
Flower Crowns
Julia Rose Floral Artist – Flower Crown
Our ever-popular Flower Crown workshop is a class loved by everyone of all abilities. You will create a beautiful wearable floral crown, the perfect accessory for flowing dresses and sipping bubbly. This is one fun event you won't want to miss. This 1.5 hour workshop includes everything you will need to create your crowns. Cost $55
Classes two each day :- 10am – 11.30am and 2pm – 3.30pm
Sohum Heart – Maria
Through this mindful and intentional activity, I will help you to slow down, relax and connect with who you are and those around you. You will create a beautiful and unique flower crown adorned by sunflowers to enjoy for the rest of the festival. Perfect for families, this is a great opportunity to connect with your children and friends in a grounded and slow activity and create a memory you will all cherish. 1 hour workshop - Cost $38.50
Pre-Booked workshops 9am and 1pm each day
Maria will also hold a drop in class at 11am and 3pm each day. Pay on arrival to her workshop.
Helicopter Rides
The team from Elite Helicopters are back again this year. If your bucket list has always included a helicopter joy flight, grab this amazing opportunity to take a 5-minute flight over the sunflower fields and surrounding farmland set amongst the amazing Scenic Rim skyline and ranges. Tickets are $85 for a 5 min ride. Please note each seat capacity is 136kg.
