For just $10, enjoy a freshly baked scone with jam and cream, served with bottomless tea or coffee. Feeling hungry? Add a selection of fresh sandwiches for $7. 

To help us cater for everyone, please book your Devonshire Tea experience when purchasing tickets or with your group booking. Each session lasts 45 minutes. Please indicate if you have dietary requirements. 

All proceeds go to our charity partners: Ipswich Hospice, Lisa’s Lunches Palliative Care Boxes, and the Alison Baden-Clay Foundation. A delicious and relaxing experience not to be missed during your festival visit! 

Jayne Hodgson Art – Sunflower Pot Painting Workshop 

Take home a little sunshine from the Kalbar Sunflower Festival. 

Join Jayne Hodgson, an experienced international artist and teacher, for a relaxed and enjoyable painting workshop suitable for all skill levels. With step-by-step guidance, you’ll create your own beautifully painted terracotta pot featuring cheerful sunflowers. These pots look stunning on their own or planted with greenery or flowers, making a perfect keepsake or gift. 

No painting experience is required, and all materials are provided.

ART BY AJ – Sunny Bloom Beaded Mobile Workshop 

Create your own sunflower-inspired beaded mobile in this relaxed and creative hands-on workshop, perfect for the crafty at heart. 

Participants will personalise a pre-strung mobile using their choice of kit, with access to paints, brushes and glue to bring their design to life. Clear “how to” guidance and step-by-step design idea sheets will be provided, allowing plenty of creative freedom while offering support throughout the process. 

This workshop is designed so you can focus on decorating and personalising your pieces, making a beautiful keepsake to take home from the Kalbar Sunflower Festival.

Duration: 90 minutes

All materials and guidance are included. No prior experience is required. 

Want to enjoy the excitement and adventure of flying?

The Great Ocean Helicopters Team will be conducting joy flights throughout the Kalbar Sunflower Festival. Take to the skies for a birds eye view of the picturesque Scenic Rim, while in your own Sunflower Sanctuary. Overlooking a patchwork of farms, grazing land and of course the sunflowers!  A must do Bucket List experience!

Flights starting are $80pp for approx 5-6 minute flight, longer flights available.  (Children discounted)

Book your ticket for after your entry ticket to the festival, once you arrive make your way to the helicopter area and they will allocate you a time for your flight within that hour.

An Introduction to Pyrography by Sharon Olive from Burnt Brims Custom Hats  

Create your own custom wide-brim hat with Burnt Brims in this relaxed, beginner-friendly pyrography workshop. 

During this 1.5-hour hands-on session, you’ll learn how to burn a pre-drawn design onto a quality faux suede hat, guided step-by-step by an experienced instructor. This workshop has been designed to allow plenty of time to enjoy the Kalbar Sunflower Festival while still creating a beautiful, wearable piece. 

Choose from three pre-drawn designs and finish your hat with a selection of feathers and ribbons to make it uniquely yours. No experience is required, and all equipment and safety instruction are provided.

Sunflower Cupcake Decorating with Simone Rister from The Cupcake Floristry 

Join professional floral buttercream artist Simone to decorate 2 full-size sunflower cupcakes in this fun, hands-on workshop. Each participant takes home their beautifully decorated cupcakes. Classes are for 4 people, so grab some friends or come on your own and book this creative session—perfect for beginners!

Sunflower Card Making Workshop with Dale Webb 
Join Dale to create 2 beautiful sunflower-themed cards in this relaxed, hands-on workshop. Dale will guide you through various paper craft techniques, making it suitable for beginners and those with some experience. All materials are provided so you can see how the cards are made from start to finish.

Floral Headband Workshop with Liv Coutts from Pemberley on Malmsbury 

 
Join Liv, a self-taught and renown floral designer and flower grower from Pemberley, Victoria, for a hands-on workshop creating your own sunflower crown or hat band. Liv has over 10 years’ experience in weddings and events and is passionate about using locally grown, seasonal flowers and sustainable techniques. Her style is wild, organic, and gardenesque, celebrating the beauty of imperfect botanicals and the joy flowers bring. 

In this workshop, you’ll use a mouldable headband with sunflowers, filler flowers, and foliage to create a wearable floral piece. The headband can also be fitted onto a hat, making it a versatile accessory. Liv will guide you step by step, sharing tips and techniques to make the process easy and enjoyable. All materials are included.

20-Minute Premium Sunflower Animal Experience – $230 
Enjoy a magical 20-minute photography and cuddle session with Scottish Highland Cattle or Valais Blacknose Sheep in the middle of the Kalbar Sunflower Festival. 

Your ticket includes: 
• 20-minute private session 
• Highland cattle or Valais Blacknose sheep 
• Professional photographer 
• Entry to the dedicated photo area 
• 5 Edited Images  
• All fees included (photographer, booking fee’s and GST) 

Up to 5 people per session.

By booking a photography session, you agree to the following: 

✔️ Safety & Supervision 

• All guests enter and participate at their own risk. 
• Adults are fully responsible for the safety, care and behaviour of themselves and any children in their group. 
• Children must be actively supervised at all times by a responsible adult aged 18+. 
• Enclosed shoes are mandatory, no sandals, thongs, crocs, heels or open-toe footwear. 
• Running, screaming, climbing, chasing animals or rough behaviour is not permitted inside or near the enclosure. 

🐮 Animal Welfare & Interaction 

• Our animals are halter-trained and social, however they are still animals and may react unexpectedly. 
• Animals may be rotated, substituted or rested without notice for their wellbeing. 
• Touching, brushing or close interaction is only permitted under the direction of handlers. 
• Anyone acting in a way that risks animal welfare or guest safety may be refused entry or removed with no refund. 

🕒 Delays & Scheduling 

• We run sessions as close to schedule as possible, however minor delays may occur as we are working with live animals. 
• If an animal requires rest, water, shade or handler attention, we may pause or adjust timing. 
• Your patience is appreciated animal welfare always comes first. 
• Late arrival may shorten your session time no refunds apply for lost time. 

🌦️ Weather & Environment 

• Sessions may be paused, delayed, or cancelled due to heat, storms, or unsafe field conditions. 
• If Northview Highlands cancels your session, a full refund will be provided. 

👶 Children Who Are Unsure 

• If a child chooses not to enter the enclosure due to nerves or fear, we may take photos from outside where possible; however refunds cannot be provided on this basis. 

📸 Photography 

• Your session includes 5 edited, high-resolution digital images delivered via online gallery. 
• Additional images may be purchased directly from your photographer. 
• Galleries are typically delivered 1–3 weeks after the event. 

🎟️ Tickets & Cancellations 

• Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable, unless cancelled by Northview Highlands. 
• Only one family/group per session (up to 5 people total). 
• Larger groups must book additional sessions.
