Frequently asked questions
Our FAQ’s covers all the information you will need, please read before contacting us as it is a busy time on the farm and we cannot always cope with the amount of emails and calls we receive.

Friday 1 - Sunday 3 May 2026 - three days only ! Yes three days only for access to the sunflower farm. Tickets are limited. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for updates on when tickets will go live. Run don’t walk as they will sell out very quickly. There will be a link on the front page of our website then to take you to the booking link to purchase.

Yes, you will need to pre-purchase tickets to our three-day Sunflower Festival, they will go on sale March 2026. You must purchase a general admission ticket for yourself and family to gain entry to the festival. Times are allotted each day for arrival so that our country road can take the traffic and parking will flow freely. We are not permitted to open any other days of the year apart from the festival weekend (Friday - Sunday) so please do not turn up at the farm, unfortunately we cannot welcome you.
We will have a range of other special experiences which can be pre-booked, and these are in addition to the general admission ticket. Please make sure you purchase a general admission ticket first.
These experiences are currently being finalised and these will be listed as add on to your general admission tickets. Tickets will be available via our website. Tickets are not refundable - if you can’t make it, please pass on to friends or family. We will have Tixel available for those wishing to sell their tickets. Please do not purchase from anybody on facebook as many many people were scammed in 2025 doing this.
Tickets are not transferable to other times during the festival, please make sure you purchase carefully the day and time slot you wish to attend.
Companion Cards - yes we accept companion cards with a paying ticket holder, just show your card at the entrance gate.

Entry to the farm and the one million sunflowers! Free children’s activities - face painting, Carissa the Bubble Princess will be here, the Urban Utilities team will be here where you can be hands on making seed bombs, colouring in and crafts to enjoy in our Children’s Hub as well as an animal petting farm and special photo booths for the kids. We have a new area - Dinosaur Land to experience among the sunflowers. Roam the full 20 acres of sunflowers with our special walkways, cul de sac’s for exciting new special photo opportunities, find your way through our maze for 2026 sensory and fairy garden for the adults and children to experience and a disability viewing area.
Also available are a variety of food and drink vendors as well as our revamped market stalls with some great new vendors for 2026.

Find our long lunches and gala dinner events on our ticket site, on sale in March 2026.
Sunflowers are available to Pick your Own for $2 a stem or you can purchase a pre-cut bunch from our flower stall. All proceeds to cancer care.

Pre-book a mini photo shoot in the Sunflowers with one of our professional photographers. Bookings will be on the website when tickets go on sale. $110 for 5 digital images taken in one of our special photo op areas.

Parking is free, please follow the traffic controllers down Warumkarie Road and enter our 16 acre parking area, there will be attendants to show you where to park. There is also a disability parking area, just ask on your way in for directions.

We have a designated Disability Parking Area close to the main entrance in the car park. Please just ask one of our friendly car park attendants to show you where to park. We also have buggies available to transport any elderly or someone with mobility issues up to the main area. Again please just ask when you arrive, there will be six buggies ferrying people most of the day. Our pathways are gravel, grass or dirt but if the weather is dry they are easy to walk on. We will have four disability toilets on site & will also be offering a Special wheelchair viewing area too!

We have a special tent marked on our festival map for first aid, lost property and mothers feeding/changing area.
Qualified nursing staff on are hand at all times. If you are allergic to bees please bring any medication you normally use.

Yes you may we are a family friendly event (we are not BYO alcohol though)

We will have a variety of food options including family friendly alternatives, international cuisine, ice cream, cold drinks, a bar and sodas. Devonshire tea will be available also in support of our charity partners.
Gluten free and vegetarian will always be accommodated throughout various stalls.

Urban Utilities will be providing several free water stations for you to fill your water bottles.

Yes our local Kalbar Progress Association runs the bars at our festival and all proceeds go back into our community for the benefit of all.

You can bring your furry friend but must be on a lead and well behaved. Please make sure you take home all droppings from the farm. Please do not drop in the carpark area on your way out or this jeopardises dogs being allowed at future festivals. Please respect our farm and other visitors there are bins provided.

This is a non-smoking event, no smoking or vaping under any circumstances on the farm is permitted. This is for the enjoyment of our visitors but also the safety of everyone.

We have a list of local accommodation and camping facilities on our website this is being updated frequently. There are many amazing places to stay whilst you are visiting the Scenic Rim. Unfortunately we are not allowed to have glamping available on site in 2026.

We will have free children’s entertainment each day of the festival such as: - face painting, bubble blowing, colouring in, sunflower painting and sand pit area, making seed bombs and our children’s fairy garden and sensory area as well as new for 2026 - Dinosaur Land.
Our new education marquee hub will have daily free info sessions on Sunflowers; Bees and a cooking demonstration by Kim McCosker from 4 Ingredients.

We will have 3 themed long lunches each day of the festival and our Saturday evening Sunset in the Sunflowers. See Experiences on our website for all details

We will have a range of market stalls for you to purchase sunflower themed products and fresh local produce to take home.

We will have a special “Pick Your Own” area. These sunflowers will be a variety of hybrids and various colours. Head to the Mater Foundation tent and please bring a bucket and snips if you can to take home your flowers. We will have secateurs available but they will be in hot demand! Sunflowers are $2 each. This year we will also have a flower stall near the entrance area to purchase bunches of our beautiful sunflowers if you don’t wish to pick your own.

Tickets to the Sunflower Festival are non-refundable. They will only go on sale when the flowers are about to bloom so please select your tickets carefully. We will go ahead regardless of weather. Keep up to date with weather forecasts which we will post on our social media. If you cannot attend please give your tickets to family or friends. Scammers are a big problem in ticket re-selling and we do not suggest you try and sell them online, we take no responsibility for disreputable sellers. We will have Tixsel set up for those wishing to re-sell tickets.

Unfortunately we do not have an ATM on site. We know we have trouble with our wi fi in certain spots on the farm due to the large number of people on site. Everyone is grabbing that selfie and uploading! So please bring some cash with you for vendors that may not have eftpos available or for small purchases. Especially in the sunflower cutting area. Closest EFTPOS is at Bendigo Bank in Kalbar.

In 2026 we will again be raising funds for cancer care and palliative care. Our charity partners are The Mater Foundation, West Moreton Health Foundation, Ipswich Hospice, Lisa’s Lunches - Palliative Care Boxes and The Alison Baden-Clay Foundation. All sunflower sales are donated to charities as well as raffles and certain activations within the festival.

Whilst at the festival you will see and meet lots of volunteers helping us create a great festival for everyone to enjoy as well as some of our local not for profit organisations Kalbar Progress Association; Fassifern and Harrisville Lions Club and the Harrisville Football Club will all be here fundraising for our community.
